About
Adolescents coming into contact with the child welfare system present different needs and concerns from their younger counterparts, and yet those issues and their contexts are not well-understood. This study sought to identify and contextualize the reasons why adolescents are referred to the child welfare system and what happens during and after an investigation. We have several papers related to this work, including articles that examine service responses by age and the unique characteristics of adolescents who became eligible for child protection in 2018.
